Në pranverën e vitit 1232, fare pranë Avinjonit, kalorësi Gontran D’Orvil goditi pas shpine kaq shumë të urryerin Kont Xhofrin, të zotin e vendit. Në mënyrë të menjëhershme rrëfeu se vendosi në vend nderin e tij, pasi e shoqja e tradhëtonte me Kontin.
E dënuan me vdekje, me prerje koke, dhe dhjetë minuta përpara se ta ekzekutonin e lejuan të bisedojë me të shoqen, veçmas.
-Përse gënjeve? – e pyeti Zhizel D’Orvil. – Përse më mbulove me turp?
-Sepse jam i dobët, – u përgjigj, – në këtë mënyrë ata do të më vrasin menjëherë. Po t’iu kisha rrëfyer se e vrava ngaqë ishte tiran, në fillim do të më torturonin.
